There is a big push for instituting dynamic sampling plans. The goal is to perform rapid characterization with only one mobilization. Several factors are involved such as geology, expected plume, groundwater, determine/guess where to sample. These samples are then send to a remote lab. If results show that areas of concern were missed, it’s back out to the field again with another mobilization resulting in increased time and money.
